Job description

Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Birmingham, Perry Common
Salary: £49,000
OTE: £55,000 - £60,000
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off days and nights


ATA is working with an established manufacturer in the aviation sector. They are looking to expand their team due to growth and development. The site has a variety of kit and machinery, with plans to install new state-of-the-art production lines by the end of 2025, worth up to £5 million. This company is at the forefront of British engineering, being the only UK supplier for the products they manufacture.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and mechanical issues.
  3. Ensure all equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
  4. Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
  5. Collaborate with the operations team to improve processes and performance.

Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in on-site maintenance activities and working with heavy equipment such as conveyors, motors, extruders, pressers, sensors, and hydraulics.
  2. Experience working to tight schedules and in a planned maintenance environment.
  3. Good teamwork skills.
  4. Great problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to work the shift pattern mentioned in the job description.
  6. Health & Safety awareness and good practices.
