Monday-Friday 7am-3pm / 3pm-11pm

Our client is a leading food manufacturer, supplying to all the major supermarkets, online food delivery companies, wholesale, and restaurant chains. They are looking for an experienced multi-skilled engineer to join their team.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Carry out both electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs on high-speed food production lines, packaging machinery, automation & control systems & associated equipment.
2. Work closely with the engineering manager to create new SOPs, PPM plans & schedules for new production lines & packaging machinery that have recently been installed.
3. Monitor production line efficiencies, suggest improvements, and monitor real-time data.
4. Mixture of hands-on maintenance & repairs and improvement activities.
5. Installation & commissioning of new machinery & production lines.
6. Continuous improvement project work - Factory Acceptance Testing.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

1. Must be a multi-skilled engineer - confident electrically & mechanically.
2. Will suit an engineer that is happy to be hands-on, but also carry out machine condition monitoring, asset care management & project work.
3. Ideally have worked in a projects-based role - suggest improvements, create new SOPs, PPMs.
4. Must have worked in food manufacturing.
5. NVQ Level 3 / ONC / HNC Engineering.
6. Knowledge of creating new PPM plans and schedules.
7. Use of SAP beneficial.
8. Ideally have completed a time-served apprenticeship.
9. Strong communicator - working closely with the engineering manager, production teams, and quality.
10. Beneficial if been a Site Electrical Duty Holder.
11. Must be able to think on own initiative.
12. Aspirational person that wants to progress & develop their career.
13. Ideally be able to do electrical installation / commissioning / FAT.
14. Flexible character with approach to new machinery, working hours.
