Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: Tilbury
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 15:30
Salary: 40,000 - 45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Role Overview and Purpose

Shorterm Group are seeking an electrically biased trades-person to undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on-site for our well established client. Tasks will range from minor plumbing defects and cleaning AC filters to repairs to building fabric.

Key Responsibilities

1. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Manager, including fault finding, testing, repairing, and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment.
2. Perform various non-specialist building fabric maintenance tasks.
3. Close/update completed PPM tasks on the site computerised maintenance system.
4. Maintain engineering standards to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
5. Adhere to company QA and site procedures in all aspects.
6. Follow Company & Site Health & Safety procedures at all times.
7. Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works.
8. Inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with call-outs/repairs as required and requested by management.
9. Keep and maintain all company-issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
10. Proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.

Required Skills and Experience

1. City & Guilds th Edition IEE.
2. Time served apprenticeship or equivalent training.
3. Demonstrable knowledge of building services engineering.
4. Excellent customer service skills.
5. Smart appearance and presentable.
6. Logical thinker in fault-finding situations.
7. Excellent interpersonal skills.
8. Good written and verbal communication skills.
9. Comfortable working within a team environment and able to contribute to group success while willingly following instructions of others.
10. Able to work unsupervised.
11. Self-motivated with the ability to self-generate reactive tasks.
12. Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements, willing to accept change.
13. Customer-focused.

Desirable Skills and Experience

1. IPAF, PASMA certifications.
2. Knowledge and use of computer software - Microsoft Office, Building Management Systems.
3. HVAC & Building Services Engineering experience.
