Multi Skilled Engineer

Our client, a well-established name in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and versatile engineer looking to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment.
2. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
3. Ensure minimal downtime by responding quickly and efficiently to breakdowns.
4. Contribute to continuous improvement projects across the site.
5. Support installation and commissioning of new machinery.
6. Maintain clear and accurate maintenance records.
7. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times.

Key Skills & Experience:

1. Recognised qualification in engineering - NVQ Level 3 / HNC / City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
2. Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills (mechanical and electrical).
4. Good understanding of PLCs (basic fault-finding is a bonus).
5. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and automated machinery.
6. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
7. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
