Description and Requirements

The client is a leading contractor. This division provides mechanical and electrical engineering support for schools across Bristol. They have a new opportunity for a multiskilled Engineer to join their team.

Position: Multiskilled Engineer
Location: Bristol

Role Purpose: Deliver safe operation, maintenance, and repair of site electrical, mechanical, and building services equipment within budget and on time, following Health & Safety policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Service M+E equipment to SFG20 standards and maintain a Planned Preventative Maintenance Regime.
  • Perform PPMs on various systems including lighting, electrical, data/networking, heat exchangers, pressurization systems, motors, pumps, FCUs, AHUs, and repair M&E systems like ductwork, plumbing, and heating.
  • Conduct surveys of M+E assets to identify improvements for a forward maintenance plan.
  • Plan and detail work efficiently, providing costs to the supervisor when necessary.

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds/NVQ/BTEC level in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
  • 18th Edition / C&G 2382
  • Proven experience as a Multi Skilled Engineer or similar role
  • Understanding of HVAC and Water Treatment (L8)
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Excellent communication, numeracy, organizational, and customer service skills
