Purpose of the Role

Join the UX/UI team as the Multi-Sensory UX Engineer where you'll fully influence the holistic user experience from conceptual design to final production. As the Product Owner/Engineer you will be responsible for delivering multi-sensory user experiences within our extraordinary product range. Working closely with the UX Innovation team to design and execute multi-sensory experiences for our customers. Reporting into the Functional Manager - User Experience your main responsibilities include:

1. Collaborating with the UX team to turn concepts into feasible designs
2. Maintaining and working with the UX Innovation team to define a feature roadmap
3. Taking responsibility for ensuring concepts are feasible and specifying and requesting new vehicle signals & features where required
4. Owning the Staging and orchestration topics across the car to create seamless experiences across multiple components and systems
5. Documenting the user journeys and user stories to get buy-in for the concept
6. Prototyping multi-sensory experiences in a working car for clinic & sign-off
7. Refining and aligning concepts with the various stakeholders, experts and system owners
8. Creating requirements for implementation by the supplier
9. Project managing suppliers to deliver a finished product
10. Organising the System validation & verification to ensure we deliver the feature to the required quality

About the Team

The world-class UX/UI team sits within Electrical Engineering & the Research and Development space at Bentley, collaborating heavily with the design team. This team is responsible for delivering multi-sensory experiences for our luxury product range.

Our dynamic and agile team is responsible for crafting luxury UX for Bentley's present and future vehicles, from the initial sketch to the final software delivery. Our work spans the whole UX spectrum from graphics & interaction design to interior lighting, sound and software.

About you - Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have had experience in both an engineering and UX role within the automotive space with experience of taking a project from concept to production. We are looking for someone who can work with prototyping and vehicle networks, to prototype new experiences and then deliver these into production. The role is an amazing opportunity to express creativity through engineering. We are looking for skills/experience in most of the following areas:

1. Experience of software development/prototyping
2. Experience working with Vehicle networks
3. Experience of systems engineering & working with requirements
4. Communication skills that can be used effectively across a range of stakeholders and suppliers
5. Ideally experience of delivering within the Automotive Industry
6. Experience of managing & delivering projects from concept to production
7. An Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant experience
