Job description

TEXO Recruitment is looking for a Mud Cooling Technician to join our external clients fantastic team based in Dyce, Aberdeen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct equipment surveys and reports for offshore and land-based projects.
  • Mobilise, install, and demobilise mud cooling equipment.
  • Train rig personnel on equipment operation.
  • Interpret rig layouts and P&ID diagrams.
  • Maintain and service mud cooling equipment.
  • Prepare equipment for mobilisation and ensure documentation is updated.
  • Support project management and liaise with suppliers and clients.
  • Maintain asset records and certification files.
  • Ensure compliance with QHSE policies and report hazards.
  • Participate in training, safety meetings, and operational improvements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical engineering qualification (NC, HNC, HND, or apprenticeship).
  • Offshore survival and medical certification.
  • Knowledge of fluids and mud cooling systems.
  • Effective communication, report writing, and proficiency in MS Office
