Main duties of the job

As an MRI Radiographer, you will:

• See each patient as an individual, offering understanding and empathy.
• Work without supervision when required, to perform high quality diagnostic examinations in a diverse range of MRI procedures whilst observing the current MRI Local Rules.
• Assist the MRI Lead Radiographer as required with the day-to-day operational management of the MRI Department, being responsible for the smooth running of the MRI scanning list.
• Participate in developing the service and in put in training new radiographers.
• Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion.

About us

Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital is located in the heart of the West End of Glasgow; you will be working at one of Scotland's leading private hospitals. This year, we embarked on phase three of our multi-million-pound refurbishment, adding state of the art equipment like our Mako robotic arm for orthopedic surgery and a new ambulatory theatre. We have a special focus in the areas of orthopedics, spinal surgery, ophthalmology, weight loss surgery and cosmetic treatment.

Qualifications

• BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent); a postgraduate qualification is desirable.

Experience

• SOR IV cannulation certificate and MRI experience, as well as the ability to work accurately and compassionately.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate is someone who can work effectively, both in a team and independently, providing high quality, patient-centered imaging services. You must also have a reasonably good amount of availability through the week and be flexible with what hours you can offer. Please note, this is not a training opportunity. Only those candidates who have the experience required will be shortlisted.
