Job description

The role will include general maintenance, servicing and restoration work on many different classic cars ranging from the 1930s right through to current models, and therefore a sound knowledge of a wide variety of cars would be advantageous.


You will also be required to record accurately all service and repair works undertaken, including keeping photographic records for any restoration projects, therefore basic IT skills would be an advantage.


This role will suit an experienced reliable, conscientious person who is self motivated with a can do attitude, able to work unsupervised when necessary, but also able to work under instruction as part of a team.


The cars belong to the Cherished Historic fleets of some major motor manufacturers, attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship is required at all times.


You will be required to plan your own work schedule to ensure that all cars are ready for any events or bookings made by our clients, and be able to deal with constant, last minute changes of plan.


You will also be responsible for ensuring that workshop supplies are ordered as required within budget.


Job Requirements

  1. A passion for historic vehicles and ideally at least 3 years experience in Classic Car Maintenance, along with a good knowledge of current models.
  2. Have the flexibility to work on all types of projects, including the routine maintenance work and have good housekeeping skills to ensure workshop is kept clean and tidy.
  3. Full clean driving licence.
  4. Legal entitlement to work in the UK.
