Job description

Due to significant growth, this leading global insurer seeks a number of talented Motor Claims Handlers in Leeds.

This organisation is at the top of its game, offering one of the most sophisticated claims service offerings in the industry, whilst providing its employees with extremely rewarding careers. The long list of prestigious industry awards that the company continues to win is testament to its vision of enabling a more resilient future for its customers and the community.

The hiring manager cites, “I have never known such a welcoming and supportive employer as this, and it is clear why people tend to stay here for many years.”

Working within the Commercial Vehicle Damage team, you will be at the forefront of reviewing and advancing new and existing Third Party Motor claims, driving them to final settlement with precision and expertise. Duties will include, but not be limited to:

  1. Investigating and negotiating motor incidents to agree liability and settlement.
  2. Building relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  3. Responding to client correspondence.
  4. Reviewing, considering and evaluating estimates, invoices, and total loss reports.
  5. Maintaining claim files to meet industry regulations.

You will benefit from a highly comprehensive training programme, led by top industry experts. You’ll also enjoy a clearly-defined development plan, offering promotion routes into more senior claims positions, as well as into a number of different business areas including, but not limited to, Complex Loss, Underwriting, Leadership, and Sales.

Our client is very flexible in terms of previous experience, and will consider candidates from a range of claims environments including insurers, loss adjusters, brokers, legal firms, and accident management companies. A minimum of 6 months’ experience is required, and what is most important is your ability to investigate third party liability. It is also essential that you have the ability to structure your day to prioritise required tasks effectively, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), and the skills to navigate multiple systems throughout the claims journey.

The company operates a hybrid-working policy, allowing you to work a maximum of 3 days a week from home, although you are of course welcome in the office as much as you like! Our client boasts an incredible Leeds city centre office that is the envy of its competitors (yoga and gym facilities, shower and changing rooms, café, and cycle store etc). Free multi-storey parking next door is also available.

Not only will you benefit from an amazing career, but this company also offers truly outstanding employee benefits. These include:

  1. 30 days’ holiday with the option to buy up to 2 additional days.
  2. Flexible-working (this can include part-time, job share and compressed hours).
  3. 10% pension contributions.
  4. Private health insurance.
  5. The possibility to work remotely up to 20 days per year from certain locations abroad.

You will be rewarded with a generous starting salary of up to £28K (Negotiable, depending on experience), together with a lucrative annual bonus.

We are only scratching the surface here in terms of what this employer can offer, so if you are passionate about Motor claims handling, then we encourage you to apply without delay.
