Job description

MOT Tester

Carbon60 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MOT Tester to join their client's dynamic team in Stoke on Trent. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of vehicles, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and roadworthiness.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of vehicles, including light and heavy goods vehicles.
  2. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of MOT testing standards and procedures, and actively participate in the MOT testing process.
  3. Maintain detailed records of all work carried out, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  4. Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
  5. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, sharing your expertise and contributing to their professional development.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Possess a VOSA recognised Certificate for Large Goods Vehicle Safety/Roadworthiness Inspections.
  2. Be a qualified MOT inspector or actively in training as an MOT Inspector.
  3. Have an LGV category C Driving Licence, and ideally, a category C+E Driving Licence.
  4. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of M.O.T. Testing, standards and procedures.
  5. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship.
