Salary: £39,000 Basic Plus bonus OTE £47,000
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30-5, 1 in 4 Saturday mornings

My client in Bishop's Stortford is recruiting for an MOT Tester to join their fantastic workshop. While working alongside other experienced technicians, you will play a vital role, carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services, and carrying out any additional repairs. You will also be required to advise customers on the outcome of their tests and any remedial work that may be required to pass the test. You will also be required to do service work when needed.

You will report to the accomplished service manager who will give ongoing support to ensure you have the tools needed to succeed in your role. MOT Tester Main Responsibilities:

1. Carrying out vehicle MOTs using the latest technology
2. Conducting vehicle service in accordance with manufacturers' guidelines and customer requests
3. Carrying out any additional repairs once authorised by the customer
4. Warranty repairs are per the manufacturer's guidelines and relevant write-up is complete
5. Taking the customer's vehicle out on a road test to ensure all faults are rectified
6. Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard

MOT Tester Technical Skills and Qualifications:

1. Relevant MOT tester qualification
2. Proven experience working in a similar role
3. Good working knowledge of vehicle diagnostics
4. Full UK driving licence
