Job Description:

Hours: 2.5 days/week (flexible)

Contract: Freelance/Contractor

Are you a physio or allied health pro who’s passionate about helping people actually get better – not just survive the system?

Do you love seeing patients thrive when they’re given the right tools, support and structure – not more appointments or vague advice?

Do you secretly (or not-so-secretly) geek out on goal setting, behaviour change and the power of movement done well?

If you’re nodding along – you might just be the Momentum Coach we’re looking for.

About The Knee Mentor

I’m Clare – a Scottish physio, brace nerd and the founder of The Knee Mentor programmes. I help active adults with knee osteoarthritis (OA) avoid surgery and injections through a high-performance, structured online programme built on clinical expertise, mentoring and a real belief in what’s possible.

Our clients are brilliant humans – often frustrated, sceptical and fed up with being told to “just stop running” or “come back when it’s worse.” We help them feel empowered again. To move well, feel confident and actually enjoy life – hiking, skiing, running, golfing, gardening, grandkids and all.

About the Role

This is not your typical clinic job. You’ll be part coach, part admin wing(wo)man and part client success guide. You’ll help clients stay consistent, navigate their programme, troubleshoot roadblocks and feel seen and supported throughout their journey.

Think momentum keeper, confidence builder and accountability ninja.

You’ll also help with light admin to support the day-to-day running of the programmes – like tracking client progress, updating checklists and making sure no one falls through the cracks.

This Role is for You if You:

  1. Are a qualified physio or allied health professional (with at least 3+ years' experience)
  2. Have a solid understanding of the pathophysiology of knee OA and the current evidence base for treatment - and can explain it in a way that actually makes sense to patients
  3. Are deeply ethical, growth-minded and committed to helping people live well
  4. Communicate clearly, kindly and with genuine empathy (bonus points for a dry or cheeky sense of humour)
  5. Are comfortable with online systems (we use Skool, Google, Process Street, Slack, Zoom, Cliniko and more – but we can show you the ropes)
  6. Have strong follow-through, are naturally organised and love ticking things off a list
  7. Get excited about performance – not perfection – and believe in consistent action over quick fixes
  8. Want to be part of something meaningful, flexible and evolving
  9. Are comfortable on video for check-ins or Vimeo replies
  10. Have coaching or mentoring experience (preferred)
  11. Understand behaviour change or health psychology (preferred)
  12. Enjoy a good podcast, a neatly colour-coded spreadsheet and watching people prove themselves wrong (in the best way)

What You’ll Get:

  1. A flexible, remote-first role (work from wherever)
  2. Mentoring and development in return – I love coaching coaches
  3. A values-led, empowering environment with no fluff, no burnout
  4. The chance to make a real impact on people’s lives – not just tick boxes
