During your initial employment, this hybrid position will combine both shop repairs and mobile service repairs but will grow to be solely an on-the-road position. A brand new state-of-the-art Ford Mobile Service Van stocked with all of the tools needed to do the job safely and efficiently will be provided along with continued training and advancement.

Ford Mobile Service Technician / Auto Repair Tech / Mechanic Essential Job Duties:

1. Performs mobile test drives, inspections, and other diagnostic tests on vehicles
2. Identifies mechanical problems visually and/or with mobile diagnostic equipment
3. Completes preventative maintenance on vehicles, such as performing oil changes, tire rotation, and replacing brakes
4. Completes recalls per manufacturers technical instructions
5. Communicates professionally and provides updates on customer repairs as needed to service advisors and the parts department
6. Maintain a clean, safe and well-organized work area, whether in the shop or when providing mobile service
7. Follow the Hertrich Fix-It-Right-the-First-Time technician philosophy
8. Other duties as assigned by management

Ford Mobile Service Technician / Auto Repair Tech / Mechanic Qualifications:

1. Must be personable with proficient communication skills and professional appearance
2. Coach-ability, quality-driven and able to work a flexible schedule
3. Base Level Tech B/C with proven Ford Service Training a plus, ASE's highly desired
4. Basic Electrical knowledge, Scan Tool usage and knowledge of Ford Recall Fundamentals
5. Valid driver's license with minimal/no points
6. High School Diploma / GED required

Ford Mobile Service Technician / Auto Repair Tech / Mechanic Physical Capabilities:

1. Physical strength and flexibility to bend, squat, and lay on the ground
2. Easily and repetitively standing from a prone position
3. Diverse weather conditions
4. Physical strength to lift between 75 and 100 pounds.
