Job description

We are recruiting for a Project Manager for a leading FM company. The role is mobile with travel between Scotland and the North East.


As a Project Manager, you will be managing a large team of multi-skilled engineers, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on gas systems, small installation projects, servicing, and repairs.


Role Objectives:
  1. Provide technical support and guidance on the telephone to engineers out in the field.
  2. Interact between the administration team, management team, and regional engineering team to disseminate information into the field.
  3. Monitor engineers and promote best practices in health and safety, engineering, and customer care.
  4. Health & Safety performance targets.
  5. Work standards targets.
  6. PACE - Profit after controllable expenses.
  7. Conformity with our core processes and workflows.
  8. Be the Subject Matter Expert for your regional team's key technical competencies.
  9. Ensure a professional image of the client is presented to clients and visitors and ensure excellence in customer service is always delivered and promoted.
  10. Liaise with client staff to determine requirements and promote continuous improvement works and project-related activity.
  11. Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and lifelong learning.

Qualifications:
  1. Technically qualified to at least City & Guilds level/ UK Level 3 NVQ in relevant electrical disciplines or time-served with suitable experience.
  2. Relevant H&S qualification.
  3. GCSE (or 'O' Level equivalent) passes in Math's and English or recognized equivalent.
  4. Ability to interface with people including customer staff at all levels.
  5. Demonstrable experience and knowledge of working within the Industrial and Commercial sectors.
  6. Demonstrable experience and knowledge of HVAC systems.
  7. Ability to read and understand schematic and wiring diagrams.
  8. Full UK Driving Licence.
