Are you an experienced M&E Lead Engineer with experience in the Building Services industry?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a National Facilities Management company working for one of their prestigious clients' sites covering from Aberdeen, including Inverness, Dundee, Edinburgh, and Glasgow.
Salary: £41,500 plus van plus excellent benefits plus £100 per week on-call allowance.
Benefits: 25 days holiday plus BH, on-call allowance, flex benefits scheme.
Hours of work: 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Location: Aberdeenshire, covering Aberdeen, Inverness, Dundee, Edinburgh, and Glasgow.
Role Responsibilities:
- Assisting the M&E Supervisor in planning, managing, and monitoring the engineering functions of the existing technical site team.
- Responsible for overseeing all works conducted by the team and sub-contractors to ensure safe and successful completion.
- Manage a diverse team of engineers supporting a site consisting of offices, laboratories, and plant.
- Participate in assigned long-term preventative maintenance programs and projects.
- Assume the role of Authorised Person High Voltage (LV).
- Manage the preparation and submission for approval of all appropriate Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments workflow and cost through effective management techniques.
- Provide emergency call-out cover as and when required.
The successful person:
- Minimum of HNC/HND in Engineering or time-served technical apprenticeship.
- Hold 18th edition electrical C&G certificate or be willing to complete the course.
- Qualified or trained in other building service disciplines including HVAC would be an advantage.
- Understanding of legislative compliance and contract law preferred.
- Be commercially aware and have a reasonable knowledge of budget preparation, negotiation, and management.
- Good all-round knowledge of Facility Management and Building Services Engineering.
- The ability to establish, implement, and monitor high standards of excellence in areas of quality, safety, and operational performance.
- Be resilient under pressure and able to converse confidently with staff, suppliers, and customers at all levels.
- A full UK Driving licence.
