Mobile Fitter - Mechanical / Diesel Pumps

A leading provider in the pump rental industry is looking for a Mobile Fitter to join their busy PRS (Pump Rental Solutions) team. This is a field-based role ideal for someone with solid mechanical skills and experience in servicing and repairing diesel-powered equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Service, repair and maintain a fleet of diesel pumps and ancillary equipment.
2. Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults both in the workshop and on customer sites.
3. Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
4. Complete inspection reports and submit job details via tablet system.
5. Travel across various UK locations to meet customer requirements.
6. Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards and complies with Health & Safety regulations.
7. Maintain company vehicle and ensure tools and van stock are in good order.

What We're Looking For:
Essential:

1. Proven mechanical experience (e.g., diesel engines, pumps, or similar).
2. Full UK driving licence (max 6 points).
3. Over 21 (for insurance purposes).
4. Flexible with travel, working outdoors, and occasional overtime/weekends.
5. Good communication skills and ability to work independently.

Desirable:

1. ONC or Level 2 BTEC in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
2. Site safety awareness (e.g., knowledge of isolation procedures, CSCS card).
3. Experience on construction or utility sites.
