Mobile Maintenance Electrician

Location: North East Region

Hours of work: 40

Contract Type: Permanent

The Mobile Maintenance Electrician will play a key role in delivering, operating, and supporting client account resources and operations, ensuring all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) is carried out in compliance with legislative and contract requirements.

This role offers excellent opportunities for training and development, as well as the chance to work across a variety of sites.

In addition to PPM duties, the role requires a reactive response to site equipment and facilities across the entire network, including offices, stations, depots, sidings, or other locations as required.

The Mobile Maintenance Electrician will also be responsible for delivering both major projects and minor additional works, ensuring high standards of service and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide necessary documentation for all tasks.
2. Comply with full CAFM requirements.
3. Ensure all PPM is carried to a high standard and correctly recorded.
4. Completion of Fixed Wire Testing & associated rectification works.
5. Ensure all reactive jobs are carried to a high standard and correctly recorded.
6. Ensure the job requester is kept informed of the status of the job.
7. Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are adhered to.
8. Ensure full technical compliance is achieved.
9. Carry out full H&S inspections, risk assessments if required so as to support the wider team.
10. General administration duties.
11. Maintain appropriate company records.
12. Provision of support to the client and on-site colleagues.
13. Identify, and communicate as appropriate, areas of concern relating to Maintenance issues.
14. Participate in projects and assignments as may be required.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

1. Electrical Installation background.
2. General Maintenance experience.
3. Knowledge/Experience of Testing and Inspection.
4. Ability to measure, work to plans (method statements), read technical diagrams and communicate, present and report technical information.
5. City & Guilds 2230 Level 3 OR
6. NVQ 2356 / 2357 OR
7. City and Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation OR AM1 and AM2.
