Mobile Crane Operator

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Mobile Crane Operators at Govan!

It is a live 12 month contract with start dates subject to security clearance.

If you have a CPCS Level 2 blue card which specifies Mobile Crane Operating and ideally Mobile Crane/Overhead Crane/Tower Crane or Crawler Crane experience.

Responsibilities

A mobile crane operator is responsible for operating a crane to lift, move, and position heavy loads such as construction materials, equipment, and machinery. They must ensure that the crane is operated safely and efficiently, and that the load is properly secured. They also need to be able to read and interpret load charts, communicate effectively with other workers on the job site, and perform routine maintenance on the crane.

Skills

1. Ability to operate a mobile crane safely and efficiently
2. Knowledge of load charts and rigging techniques
3. Communication skills to effectively coordinate with other workers on the job site
4. Physical strength and stamina to operate the crane for extended periods of time
5. Attention to detail to ensure loads are properly secured and positioned
6. Mechanical aptitude to perform routine maintenance on the crane
7. Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
8. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
9. Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues with the crane
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation

The rates are below:

1. PAYE - STD - £24.47 an hour Non Local
2. PAYE - STD - £16.47 an hour Local
