Job description

Mobile BMS Engineer

Location: Birmingham

Type: Permanent

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 + Car or Car allowance package

Brief:
BMS Engineer needed for a leading facilities management organisation based in the Birmingham area who are looking to employ an experienced BMS Engineer to join the Smart Buildings team on a permanent basis. This role will consist of mobile working where the BMS Engineer will carry out a number of tasks on customers' sites in their area consisting of MOD sites.

What the role entails:
As a BMS Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  1. Install, configure, and commission BMS components and equipment, including sensors, controllers, actuators, and software systems.
  2. Carry out maintenance checks on Trend, Tridium and Distech BMS's on our various sites.
  3. Reactive call out rota will be worked (additional financial benefit included for being on call and attending).
  4. Provide technical assistance and support to clients regarding their BMS systems.
  5. Identify opportunities for improvement/remedial works to improve the performance of the BMS's for our clients.
  6. Prepare proposals and quoting of works as required.

What experience you need to be a successful BMS Engineer:
  1. City & Guild / BTEC / NVQ Electrical.
  2. Extensive knowledge & experience of BMS / HVAC.
  3. Knowledge & experience with either Trend, Tridium Controls/Niagara/Distech/Siemens (not all are required as training will be provided).
  4. Excellent working knowledge of the electrical industry.
  5. Ability to read and interpret Electrical & Mechanical schematic diagrams.
  6. Understanding of IT networks.
  7. Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  8. Full UK driving licence.
  9. Controls training / experience.
  10. Experience with fault finding in electrical panels.
  11. Report writing skills.
