Job description

Role

  • Organise a variety of fundraising events on behalf of the branch or group
  • Organise street collections in accordance with Local Authority requirements
  • Be responsible for static collecting tins, ensuring the guidance for use, recording, collecting etc is followed
  • Encourage local organisations and companies to fundraise on behalf of the Association
  • Liaise with the Association in support of fundraising events co-ordinated nationally
  • Liaise with the Association’s regional Fundraiser (RF) and Area Support Coordinator

This role will suit you if you have:

  • Some experience of fundraising or organising events (not essential)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to recognise potential opportunities for fundraising

You will be inducted into the role and informed about the Association. As part of this, you will receive e-learning, face-to-face training, and mentoring. The training program will also include experiential and reflective learning.

Time commitment
Approximately 2 hours per week, flexible. To include some evenings and weekends.

About the organisation
The Motor Neurone Disease Association focuses on improving access to care, research, and campaigning for those living with or affected by MND in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. We are a membership organisation with over 10,000 members forming a powerful national and local network that provides information and support. We have over 7,000 active volunteers in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland and around 170 paid staff, all dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by MND, now and in the future.
