Job Title: MIG Welder
Location: Ipswich / Woodbridge, Suffolk
Salary: £15ph (circa) plus payrise after 3-months!
Working Hours: 40 hours per week

We are looking for a Welder who can start immediately & lives local to Ipswich / Woodbridge, Suffolk.

Our client has seen huge growth over the past few months & is now looking to expand their production team to meet customer demands. With confirmed orders going into next year, they need an experienced welder fabricator who can work from CAD drawings independently.

They are offering a starting salary of £15ph with a payrise after 3-months. Overtime is available at increased rates.

This role would suit a fabricator who can purely weld & fabricate bespoke products from drawings independently. You will mostly be MIG welding mild steel, but you may also be required to do the occasional bit of TIG welding; the thicknesses could vary from 2mm-30mm.

You will also be expected to read and understand technical drawings as well as being able to cut and bend materials using guillotines & presses.

Skills Required:

1. 5 years practical welding experience
2. MIG welding background is essential
3. Ability to read & work from engineering drawings on your own initiative
4. Competent user of hand & power tools
5. Knowledge of fabrication machinery i.e., brake press, punch, drills, lathes, saws etc.

Hours of work: Monday-Thursday, 07:30 - 16:30, with an early finish on Friday.

This is a permanent role subject to a successful 3-month probation period.
