In search of MIG/TIG Welders who are looking to grow within a great organization in Brighton, MI.
Shifts Available: 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and 3rd (12 hour rotation shift)
Pay: Ranges from $19.50-$20.10/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly examine the surface of parts to determine the extent of defects such as dings, dents, and buckles.
- Utilize MIG welding techniques to fill holes and gaps in defected parts, adhering to precise specifications.
- Conduct welding operations on sub-assemblies and final assemblies, ensuring high-quality welds for structural integrity.
- Employ TIG welding techniques when necessary to smooth welded or defected areas, maintaining a high standard of finishing as specified.
- Execute 100% rework on parts, requiring operator sign-off and meticulous documentation of all non-conformances.
- Place reworked parts on in-process racks for leak testing to ensure the integrity of the welds and identify any potential issues.
- Perform leak tests on component parts, promptly addressing and reworking any defects identified during the testing process.
- Operate robotic weld cells, gauges, and leak testers proficiently to maintain a smooth workflow.
- When necessary, manually assemble and weld complete exhaust systems from start to end using supplied component parts.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proven previous experience with MIG & TIG welding techniques (1+ years experience).
- Familiarity with robotic weld cell operation.
- Attention to detail in defect identification and correction.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and blueprints.
- Adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to pass drug test & background check.
- Must be able to pass a weld test.
- Must have weld helmet.
- Great attendance and attitude!
- Will need their own welding gear and steel-toed shoes.
