MIG/TIG Welder

Job Description

In search of MIG/TIG Welders who are looking to grow within a great organization in Brighton, MI.

Shifts Available: 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and 3rd (12 hour rotation shift)

Pay: Ranges from $19.50-$20.10/hr

Key Responsibilities:

1. Thoroughly examine the surface of parts to determine the extent of defects such as dings, dents, and buckles.
2. Utilize MIG welding techniques to fill holes and gaps in defected parts, adhering to precise specifications.
3. Conduct welding operations on sub-assemblies and final assemblies, ensuring high-quality welds for structural integrity.
4. Employ TIG welding techniques when necessary to smooth welded or defected areas, maintaining a high standard of finishing as specified.
5. Execute 100% rework on parts, requiring operator sign-off and meticulous documentation of all non-conformances.
6. Place reworked parts on in-process racks for leak testing to ensure the integrity of the welds and identify any potential issues.
7. Perform leak tests on component parts, promptly addressing and reworking any defects identified during the testing process.
8. Operate robotic weld cells, gauges, and leak testers proficiently to maintain a smooth workflow.
9. When necessary, manually assemble and weld complete exhaust systems from start to end using supplied component parts.

Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or GED required.
2. Proven previous experience with MIG & TIG welding techniques (1+ years experience).
3. Familiarity with robotic weld cell operation.
4. Attention to detail in defect identification and correction.
5. Ability to read and interpret specifications and blueprints.
6. Adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
7. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
8. Must be able to pass drug test & background check.
9. Must be able to pass a weld test.
10. Must have weld helmet.
11. Great attendance and attitude!
12. Will need their own welding gear and steel-toed shoes.
