We currently have both permanent and secondment opportunities for an experienced midwife to join our existing Maternity Assessment Suite team.

You will have a reassuring style that inspires confidence and promotes our range of services to the families you are supporting.

You will be an excellent communicator, who is also great at listening to women and their families, helping them to achieve a high quality, positive and safe experience through the development of personalised care plans.

Please note: Appropriate UK NMC Registration is a requirement for this role and international candidates who only hold PRN need not to apply.

Main duties of the job

Women can access the service from sixteen weeks gestation up until four weeks following birth. Around 800 women attend each month with a variety of health concerns relating to themselves or their unborn baby.

Maternity Assessment Suite is a fast-paced, acute environment requiring autonomous practice and effective team working. It requires prompt decision-making skills and appropriate and timely escalation when necessary to ensure safe care provision.

You'll have access to varied development opportunities, learn new skills, meet great people, and do things you'd never have done. You'll learn about interacting with people from all different roles to build skills and enhance your career path.

You'll make an impact, be challenged to think differently, be bold, and help innovate to keep improving things. Everything we do centres around patient care, which means your role is pivotal and something really to be proud of.
