Job description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive school in Oldham. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and help them develop a love for languages, while promoting cultural understanding and communication skills. The successful candidate will be joining a forward-thinking department and have the chance to contribute to the continued success of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver engaging and interactive MFL lessons (French or Spanish) to students of varying abilities across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  2. Plan and prepare lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and assessment guidelines.
  3. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support their development.
  4. Encourage students to take an active interest in language learning and cultural exploration.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues within the department to share resources, ideas, and best practices.

The Ideal Candidate:

  1. Holds a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) and QTS.
  2. A passion for Modern Foreign Languages and the ability to inspire students.
  3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  4. Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential. ECTs (Early Career Teachers) are welcome to apply.
  5. Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student achievement.
