Full-Time MFL Teacher – Secondary School in Eastleigh, Hampshire

GSL Education are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive secondary school in Eastleigh, Hampshire. This role is set to begin in September 2025. The school welcomes both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators. Following a successful probation period, a fixed-term contract will be offered. The annual salary for this position ranges from £30,000 to £50,000, based on experience.

Responsibilities of an MFL Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Modern Foreign Languages.
  • Develop, plan, and implement lesson plans that inspire language learning and cultural appreciation.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Foster a safe and positive environment that encourages participation, teamwork, and respect.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to create an inclusive and supportive school community.
  • Participate in extracurricular programs and events related to Modern Foreign Languages.
  • Take an active role in promoting the linguistic and cultural development of students.
  • Keep up to date with the latest curriculum developments and pedagogical practices in Modern Foreign Languages.

Required Qualifications for an MFL Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong passion for Modern Foreign Languages.
  • Experience teaching MFL at the secondary school level (ECTs are encouraged to apply).
  • The ability to create and deliver engaging lessons that inspire students.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and build positive relationships with students.
  • A commitment to fostering student well-being and personal development.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to working with colleagues.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
