Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality MFL lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 students (with the potential to teach Key Stage 5).
• Teach one or more languages (French, Spanish, German, or another language) in a fun, engaging, and student-centered manner.
• Encourage and inspire students to develop a love for languages and an understanding of different cultures.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse learning needs of students, ensuring inclusivity.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and track their progress, supporting them to reach their full potential.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and contribute to departmental initiatives.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment with effective classroom management strategies.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
• Adhere to school policies, including those around safeguarding, student welfare, and health and safety.

What We’re Looking For

• A degree in Modern Foreign Languages (or a related field) or equivalent qualification.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Passion for teaching and inspiring students in MFL.
• Strong knowledge of one or more foreign languages (French, Spanish, German, or another language).
• Experience teaching MFL at the secondary school level (Key Stage 3 and 4).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Experience with innovative teaching technologies is an advantage.
