MET Technician

Location: Stourbridge

Basic Salary: Up to £40,000

Hours: 42.5h week Monday to Friday

Extras: Up to £10,000 bonus available, 30 Days Holiday and many more

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a talented and efficient MET Strip Fitter / MET Technician to join this leading team. You will be repairing damaged vehicles in line with the manufacturers' specifications within a state-of-the-art body shop, utilising modern equipment and techniques.

Qualifications required for an MET Strip Fitter / MET Technician:

1. Will have served a recognised apprenticeship as a MET Strip Fitter / MET Technician and gained a technical qualification (such as NVQ / ATA / IMI / SVQ).
2. Must have previous experience working as a MET Technician / MET Strip Fitter within a busy body shop and be a strong team player with a self-motivation to earn bonus hours.
3. Have experience with Geometry work and 4 wheel Alignment.
4. Will work to the highest standard and demonstrate a sound up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques.
5. Diagnostic training.

1. Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre.
2. Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work in line with factory specifications and customer satisfaction.
3. Conduct detailed inspections to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
4. Repair or replace damaged mechanical, electrical, and trim components.
5. Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as needed.
6. Use diagnostic equipment to identify and fix issues in the vehicle's systems.
7. Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards.
8. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
9. Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
10. Adhere to all safety protocols and standards.
