Location: Central London

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000

The company:
This client has been in operation for over 20 years and has become one of the most reputed commercial office fit-out M&E contractors in London, turning over £35m last year. They have just been acquired by a new Managing Director who has strong aspirations to increase the turnover and has made strong headway in the first 6 months, having recently been appointed to projects for major main contractors. As a result, they are currently looking for an MEP CAD manager to join their London office.

Responsibilities of the role:
As the MEP CAD Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality, on-time CAD work from your division of designers and drafters. This will involve:

1. Managing and coordinating all CAD-related activities and staff.
2. Developing and implementing CAD standards and protocols for the department.
3. Ensuring all projects are completed within set timelines.
4. Training and mentoring CAD staff to improve their design skills.
5. Reviewing and approving all designs before they are sent to clients or production.
6. Coordinating with project managers and other team leaders to determine design needs.
7. Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
8. Staying updated with the latest CAD technology and industry trends.

1. Will have proven work experience as an MEP CAD manager or similar role.
2. BSc degree in Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field.
3. Strong knowledge and experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.
4. Excellent project management skills.
5. Good understanding of drafting techniques and engineering terminologies.
6. Proficient in design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD.
7. Ability and willingness to train and mentor staff.
8. Excellent leadership and organisational skills.

1. Highly competitive base salary of £80-90,000.
