Mental Health Teaching Assistant - Maidenhead

Are you:

Our amazing specialist school in Oxford is looking for someone to come in as a Mental Health Teaching Assistant.

The role would include duties such as:

  1. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to offer guidance and support
  2. Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills
  3. Help model healthy coping strategies and social skills
  4. Assist in creating and maintaining a safe and structured learning environment
  5. Facilitate group activities and promote positive peer interactions
  6. Collaborate with the school team to identify triggers and develop proactive approaches to behaviour management

Qualities you need to have to be a Mental Health Teaching Assistant:

  1. Educational background in Psychology, Criminology, or Education will be advantageous
  2. Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
  3. Experience working with children with Autism will be a huge advantage
