Seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to start ASAP!

A specialist provision in Southend is looking to recruit a Behaviour Support Assistant to support specialist students with SEMH and associated complex needs between the ages of 11-16 years.

This role is dedicated to those who want to inspire students with SEMH, many of whom have come from distressed and toxic backgrounds.

The right candidate will need to be confident with de-escalation strategies, robust, and know how to build strong rapport and manage challenging behaviours.

You must also be empathetic and have a good understanding or background in special educational needs or social emotional mental health.

Resilience and hard work are a must. An outdoors/sports/activity coordinator background or creative arts/food tech background would also be great, as this role entails a lot of outdoor and creative activities.

You must be available to work between the hours of 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday. A competitive salary is offered.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
