Are you a Band 5 Mental Health Pharmacy Technician looking for a rewarding locum role in Manchester? We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

• Job Title: Mental Health Pharmacy Technician (Band 5)
• Location: Manchester (2 sites)
• Duration: Ongoing, with potential for extension
• Schedule: Monday to Friday (may consider 4 days per week), 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 30-minute break
• Start Date: February/March 2025
• End Date: N/A (ongoing role)
• Rate of Pay: £17-21 per hour (paid via umbrella)

A Day in the Life of a Mental Health Pharmacy Technician: Join our team as a Mental Health Pharmacy Technician and make a real difference in the lives of patients on Psychiatric and ITU wards. Your core responsibilities include:

• Dispensing medications and providing pharmaceutical support on Psychiatric and ITU wards.
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure effective medication management.
• Offering medication advice to patients and healthcare staff.
• Ensuring compliance with medication safety protocols and guidelines.
• Maintaining accurate medication records and contributing to audit processes.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Experience working in mental health wards, preferably within an NHS hospital.
• Ability to work across both Psychiatric and ITU settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• A car driver is ideal, as the role involves working across two sites.

Working Hours & Contract Duration: This role offers a flexible working position, requiring availability from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of considering 4 days per week. The contract is ongoing, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
