Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide high-quality mental health care to prisoners, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
2. Administer medication and monitor its effectiveness and side effects.
3. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
4. Offer therapeutic interventions, including counseling and psychoeducation.
5. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
7. Participate in case reviews and update care plans as needed.
8. Respond to mental health crises and provide immediate support and intervention.
9. Educate prisoners on mental health issues and promote wellness.
10. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
11. Support and mentor junior staff and students.

Requirements:

1. Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC registration.
2. Experience in a forensic or prison environment preferred.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively in a challenging and dynamic setting.
