Mental Health Nurse Acute In-Patients

Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust has an opportunity to join our Adult Acute Mental Health Ward at Redwoods Centre Shrewsbury as a band 5 nurse. Birch ward is a 16 bedded mixed gender adult acute admissions ward providing treatment and care for a wide range of mental health illnesses to patients who are of working age.

Main duties of the job

• Delivering a high quality clinical service to patients and their families.
• Acting as named nurse to a group of patients under the direction / supervision of the person identified with continuing responsibility.
• Participating in therapeutic group work programmes.
• Responsible for the assessment of care needs and contributing to the formulation of the person's needs and the development of a relevant plan based upon the person's negotiated goals and relevant evidence-based interventions.
• In conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team, provide nursing interventions to support the person to meet their agreed goals and coordinate and/or participate in the review of progress towards those goals.

• Registered Nurse on NMC Register.

• Experience as working as a nurse.
