We have a full-time developmental band 5-6 Mental Health Practitioner opportunity, which is an exciting position for a Community Mental Health nurse; however, we would also welcome and consider part-time applicants. This development role is underpinned by a supportive competency-based framework to help build both your experience and competence in becoming a band 6 practitioner. We welcome newly qualified band 5 MHP, or a nurse with inpatient experience who would like to develop their expertise in a community mental health setting.

Act as a role model to colleagues, always seeking to maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
Use your initiative and take responsibility for yourself and the quality of your work and the service you provide to patients.
Work across all clinically appropriate patients, 17 years old and over, to deliver evidence-based interventions.
Under the direction of the Service Lead and as part of the Community Mental Health Service, provide prompt local assessment, triage, risk assessment, risk management, signposting, onward referral, and evidence-based interventions for people presenting with mental health problems.
Represent the team on specific projects and working groups as required.
