How You Make a Difference

The Mental Health Clinician independently assesses individuals from a clinical and psychosocial perspective; provides group and individual therapeutic interventions and psychoeducation; makes professional judgments of clinical and psychosocial needs; and provides crisis assessment and intervention. This position is responsible for timely documentation of services that comply with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements. The Mental Health Clinician is a member of the multidisciplinary team and may be responsible for treatment planning and discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides individualized care and treatment consistent with age and life span development.
  • Delivers treatment to individuals and groups according to established performance standards.
  • Documents service delivery and progress within established standards and timeframes.
  • Conducts required assessments and provides crisis assessment and intervention services.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary teams and may handle treatment and discharge planning for assigned individuals.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Required: Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.

Experience

  • Preferred: Two (2) years of experience with the population served.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Required: Licensed or license-eligible in the appropriate discipline.
