This Mental Health Assistant role is an ideal opportunity if you're focused on Counselling, Mental Health, Wellbeing, Criminal, Social or Youth Justice, or elements of social care.

This SEN school in Stevenage is looking for SEN Psychology and Criminology Graduates to provide first-class support to children with complex social, emotional and mental health needs, including ADHD, communication difficulties, Down syndrome, and some speech, language, and communication needs.

Job Title: Mental Health Assistant

Location: Stevenage

Salary Scale: £460-£500 per week

Sector: Education and Training

Contract type: Long Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 - 15:30

What is required?

  1. An Undergraduate Degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience, ideal for Criminology and Psychology Graduates
  2. An interest in mental health and Autism
  3. Knowledge or understanding of the range of different types of learning and behavioral needs (SEMH elements of the provision)
  4. Local commute to Stevenage
