About Us
Rugby & East Warwickshire Hockey Club (REWHC) is one of the leading hockey clubs in the Midlands, boasting a thriving community of players across 8 Men’s teams, 5 Ladies teams, and a large youth/junior section. As part of the second cohort of clubs working towards England Hockey Talent Centre accreditation, we are committed to supporting player development at all levels and achieving National League promotion.

The Role

We are looking for an inspiring Head Coach to:

• Lead the Men’s 1st Team, fostering a high-performance environment.
• Develop a programme for the elite Men’s section, including the 1st and 2nd teams and emerging junior players.
• Deliver two training sessions per week and manage league matches on weekends.
• Plan and execute pre-season, including player recruitment, fitness, and fixture preparation.
• Collaborate with the 2nd Team Coach on selection, training, and development strategies.
• Work with the Club Committee to support initiatives aligned with the club’s goals.

What We’re Looking For

We need a coach with:

• England Hockey Level 2 (or equivalent) coaching qualification.
• Proven experience coaching senior teams, ideally in a performance-driven environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to engage with players at all levels.
• A proactive approach to planning, feedback, and organisational tasks.
• Passion for creating a culture of development and excellence.

Additional Information

• Start Date: 1st August 2025 (guest coaching opportunities available in the 2024/25 season).
• The role is suitable for player-coaches, with support from an Assistant Coach and Team Manager.
• Salary will be dependant of experience and qualifications.
