Job description

SHARE

Sevenoaks Hockey Club is one of the largest and most successful clubs in the UK, and a leading club in the South East Area. Our Men's 1st Team play in Division 1 South Outdoor and Premier League Indoor.

Off the back of a successful 2024-25 season, where the team finished 4th, the Men's 1st XI are seeking expressions of interest for the upcoming 2025-26 season for a Manager, with the potential to also be an Assistant Coach if that is of interest.

This role is a voluntary position, which may have some expenses covered and is suitable for someone with National League coaching/managing/playing experience, or high regional level experience and the desire to learn. For the right candidate, this role could provide a valuable opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the team in a managerial capacity as well as an opportunity to contribute from a coaching perspective to one of the top men's teams in the country and gain valuable hands-on experience in a program that has strong ambitions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage various administrative duties such as player registrations and GMS responsibilities.
  2. Liase with opposition teams each week.
  3. Act as match day Team Manager.
  4. Be available for all or most of our games in season (home and away), as well as our Premier League Indoor Campaign in January.

We are also interested in someone that may be an aspiring coach looking to fast track their knowledge and experience. Duties in this assistant coaching capacity could include joining training mid-week on Tuesday/Thursday evenings to help with the delivery of our training sessions, as well as opposition scouting, individual video analysis, and team tactical analysis alongside other duties.

Please send any expressions of interest (alongside your CV) directly to our Director of Hockey and Men's 1st Team Head Coach Martin Schouten. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any further questions.
