As a Design (MEICA) Engineer, you will join our client's integrated team, leading the design of infra and non-infra projects on the Yorkshire Water Framework from outline design through to detailed design, construction, and commissioning support.

Design (MEICA) Engineer Job Overview
- Lead and coordinate MEICA activities for drainage and waste treatment design, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
- Develop design solutions, including drawings, reports, specifications, and estimates, while managing documentation and reviewing team members' work.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, oversee project planning and commercial aspects, and present projects for audit.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, technicians, and apprentices, contributing to problem-solving and design improvements.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001, promoting best practices within the team and on-site.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and stakeholders while staying up to date with industry advancements.
Design (MEICA) Engineer Job Requirements
- Qualified Engineer, ideally chartered or a member of a relevant institution (e.g., IMechE, CEng, IET).
- Experience in utilities design, particularly within the UK water sector.
- Strong knowledge of UK Water Industry standards and Sewer Sector Guidance for drainage design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, with experience in BIM model integration being desirable.
- Technically competent in fundamental asset design principles, with the ability to apply manual calculation methods when software tools are unavailable.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to learning and development.
