I am currently recruiting for a leading Insurer who is seeking an Underwriter to join their growing team.

My client is looking for an experienced Medical/Life Underwriter with at least 5+ years of experience who has experience underwriting Life, Critical Illness, and Income Protection. The ideal candidate will have strong connections with Reinsurers and Adviser firms. This role can be worked out of the London, Stockport, or Bournemouth office on a hybrid basis or can also be worked remotely.

Key Responsibilities

1. Evaluate applications based on the company's underwriting principles and standards.
2. Assist and guide brokers in navigating the underwriting process for applications.
3. Coordinate with reinsurers to ensure smooth placement of business.
4. Provide training to sales teams on underwriting procedures.
5. Approve applications from junior underwriters.
6. Contribute ideas to enhance underwriting and service offerings.
