Job Summary

Market Street Health Group

Part-time Medical Receptionist needed for 25 hours per week (1:30pm - 6:30pm) for a busy but friendly 10 doctor computerized practice in purpose-built premises.

Must have experience of working with the public. Must be cheerful, polite, and a good team player. May be required to be flexible with working hours.

About Us

MARKET STREET HEALTH GROUP PRACTICE PROFILE

Market Street Health Group is situated in Newham, one of the poorer areas of London. As a result, our patients tend to have more health needs and often make more visits to see their doctor than the average. We have a higher than average representation of the under 16s and the elderly. Newham is a multiracial area with 50% of the population being from diverse ethnic backgrounds. As a practice, we are one of the highest users of the local advocacy service.

Newham has over 60 practices. We are one of the larger practices in Newham with over 12 thousand patients, 5 GPs, 1 Salaried GP, 1 doctor in training, and 3 Clinical Pharmacists. A nursing team of 3 includes 1 Senior Practice Nurse and 2 Health Care Assistants. We have a health visitor and district nurse team, and a midwife attached to the practice.

The clinical team is supported by the Practice Manager, a team of 8 Receptionists and a Reception Manager, 3 secretaries managed by a Senior Secretary, a Medical Records Clerk, 2 Administrators, and a Facilities Manager. We also have admin apprentices.
