Job description

Our OBGYN practice is seeking to enhance our clerical staff with the addition of a new full-time member to our dynamic team. The right candidate should possess a desire to provide high-quality customer service with efficiency and compassion. A growth mindset is vital in this position as we all have an opportunity to learn more every day.

Essential Functions:
  1. Answering phones and assisting patients via our multiphone system.
  2. Prioritizing tasks in an ever-evolving environment.
  3. Checking patients in and out and updating demographic information.
  4. Reviewing provider schedules to identify and correct as appropriate.
  5. Obtaining insurance benefits for patients and quoting payments due at the time of service.
  6. Collecting Payments.
  7. Processing incoming and outgoing referrals.
  8. Navigating our electronic medical record.
  9. Processing appointment requests via portal, email, and phone.
  10. Protecting patient health information.
  11. Various other tasks as needed to meet the needs of our practice.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  1. The desire to learn.
  2. The ability to multitask.
  3. Excellent attention to detail.
  4. Great customer service skills.
  5. Experience with insurance is a plus.
  6. Prior customer service experience is a must.
  7. Computer efficiency.
  8. Prior use of an electronic medical record (especially Athena) is a plus.
