Job Title: Medical Receptionist

Kilbirnie Medical Practice is looking for a Medical Receptionist to cover either 1 full-time position or preferably 2 part-time positions up to 40 hours per week. Cover will be required from 08:30 am - 5:30 pm. The ideal applicants will be well-motivated, organised individuals who work to a high standard and will fit into our very friendly practice team.

Responsibilities:

1. General reception work
2. Answering the telephone
3. Efficiently dealing with appointments and signposting where appropriate
4. Managing prescriptions and workflow
5. Handling enquiries from patients and outside organisations
6. Communicating clearly and concisely with GPs, patients, and other healthcare professionals

Qualifications:

Previous experience of EMIS and DOCMAN systems would be advantageous, but training will be given.

We are an established, organised and progressive training practice based in a purpose-built NHS Health Centre. Situated in North Ayrshire, we are an easy commute from Glasgow; approximately 15 minutes from Glasgow airport and close to Lochwinnoch, Kilmacolm, Bridge of Weir, Houston, and Largs. We have a growing practice list of 7800 patients with 4 Partners and 2 Salaried GPs. Our team includes 1 ANP, 1 Practice Nurse, CTAC Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, an MSK Advanced Practitioner, Community Link Worker, and Mental Health Practitioner. We are well supported by an experienced Practice Manager, Reception, and Administration Team.

Position Details:

The post is permanent with negotiable hours; however, the hours required will be between 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday.
