Medical Negligence Solicitor or Legal Executive

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Medical Negligence Solicitor, Legal Executive or Litigation Executive to join my client's team on a hybrid basis in their Manchester offices.

My client is seeking a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive or Litigation Executive with 2+ years experience in handling Medical Negligence cases. You will be working closely with clients, medical experts, counsel and colleagues, handling a varied caseload, providing expert legal advice and securing justice for clients.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Conducting legal research, gathering evidence and instructing medical experts and counsel.
2. Providing clear and compassionate advice to clients.
3. Negotiating settlements and preparing cases for litigation if necessary.
4. Representing clients at interlocutory hearings where appropriate.

Skills & Experience:

1. You will have experience of working on medical negligence claims. Whilst my client is ideally seeking a candidate with Claimant experience, they will also consider applications from individuals with experience in Defendant clinical negligence.
2. Attend business development and networking events.
3. Be IT literate, including knowledge of using case management software, ideally Proclaim.
4. Demonstrate excellent client care.
5. Have a sound understanding of the Pre Action Protocol for Clinical Disputes and the CPR.
