This is an exciting opportunity for somebody to join the governance team within the medical service group to support governance functions and processes, and the continuous improvement of learning from events. The post requires flexibility and the ability to provide a wide range of administrative duties as part of a small and friendly team. The successful candidate can base at either Yeovil District Hospital or Musgrove Park Hospital with the expectation to travel between sites to meet the requirements of the post when needed, with the opportunity to work from home.
The role of a Medical Governance Assistant is to provide a comprehensive and effective administrative service to support the smooth and efficient running of the Medical Service Group Governance team, working countywide across the Service Group.
This supports the service group in providing high quality patient care by ensuring a cycle of continuous improvement, learning from all governance functions and other sources of information. This will include supporting the service group and governance team providing administrative support with investigations of incidents and dissemination of learning.
The post holder will be required to support the medical service group with the administration of the following functions: incidents, complaints, PALS, risks, audits, NICE guidance, safety alerts, policies and procedures, claims, inquests and actions plans.
There will be a need to take minutes for monthly governance and learning meetings, and support the coordination of agendas.
