Medical Director – Oncology Innovation & Pipeline Strategy
Location: Paddington, London

Full-Time | Permanent | Hybrid (60% Onsite)
We are working closely with a global biopharmaceutical company to recruit a Medical Director within their oncology strategy group. This role supports the evaluation of mid-to-late stage external assets and contributes to the advancement of their therapeutic area strategy, with a specific focus on pre-launch readiness and Medical Affairs integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the medical/scientific referent in evaluations of oncology assets across the pipeline
- Lead the creation of Target Product Profiles (TPPs) and contribute to asset due diligence
- Collaborate cross-functionally across R&D, Innovation, Medical Affairs, and Commercial
- Conduct deep scientific analysis and disease area landscaping
- Support early commercialisation strategy and Medical Affairs planning
- Present findings and strategic insights to internal leadership and deal boards
Candidate Profile
- PhD ; MD acceptable
- Strong Medical Affairs experience with a focus on pre-launch activities
- Expertise in oncology – both solid and liquid tumour backgrounds welcomed
- Track record of delivering in cross-functional, strategic roles
- Experience with external asset evaluation or BD is a plus
- Confident communicator with senior stakeholder presentation skills
