Territory: West Midlands and the Northwest

West Midlands, Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Hereford & Worcester, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Wirral, Cheshire, North Wales, IOM, Lancashire

Location: Field based within the territory.

Job title: Business Development Executive, full time.

Salary: Competitive negotiable salary and open-ended commission depending upon experience.

The successful candidate will be provided with a company car (electric vehicle). Where the applicant already leases their own vehicle, a contribution towards that lease and a mileage allowance will be considered.

Based in South Gloucestershire, de Smit Medical is a distributor of innovative and market-leading medical devices and consumables for pelvic health (urinary and faecal incontinence). Complementing our excellent customer support, the de Smit Medical Learning Academy provides a range of clinical, technical and user training courses to further support the market. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the successful applicant will be field based within the territory and join a talented and growing sales team.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Located on territory (essential)
  • Qualified to a minimum of A-level standard or equivalent
  • Proven track record in medical device sales an advantage with experience in Primary and Secondary Care markets. Applicants with no experience but a strong clinical or medical technical background with an aptitude for sales will also be considered.
  • Winning mentality and a desire to succeed, tenacious, self-motivated and a willingness to learn.
  • Professional appearance and an excellent communicator.
  • The ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
  • The ability to stay away from home and be willing to work the very occasional weekends.

The applicant must be qualified to work long-term in the UK, hold a current UK driving license, and undergo the appropriate MIA accreditation and equivalents and a DBS check.
