Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Audio Typist based at Ailsa Hospital.

What you will do:

As a Medical Audio Typist within the Mental Health - Business Support Service, you will provide a comprehensive Medical Audio Typing service to the Consultant Psychiatrist’s based within South Ayrshire H&SCP. Primary duties will include transcription of clinical correspondence using digital dictation.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

  1. Experience within an Audio Typist role is essential and you should be educated to SVQ III in Business Admin or equivalent experience.
  2. You should have advanced typing skills and proven audio typing experience.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with a range of disciplines.
  4. A working knowledge of the patient management system (Trakcare), Care Partner, Winscribe and knowledge of medical terminology is essential.
  5. Minute taking experience is required to support this role.

Hours:

37 hours per week.

Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

A car licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
