Job description

A full-time, permanent role, with no more than 6 days per month, expected to be worked in their new prestigious Brighton offices.

Opportunity to work from home for all-but 6 working days each month.

See below for details of the leave and flexi-time scheme in order to fulfil a truly best in class 'work - life' balance in your new role.

This highly respected, arms-length organisation, which is situated in Brighton, is seeking a Media Officer to join its communications team, which consists of two existing Media Officers, a speechwriter, and a Parliamentary Affairs Lead.

You will have good experience of writing press releases, creating blogs and podcasts, and have an eye for innovative media with regard to promoting key messages of the work undertaken by the organisation.

You should have experience of having professional, and at times "off the record" mature dialogue with journalists from the national or trade press, and have the confidence to portray the face of communications of this major public sector, government-linked organisation.

What you'll get in return: This role will be hybrid working on a full-time 35 hours / 5 days per week basis and a minimum requirement to work at least 6 days per month in the Brighton offices, with the rest of the time eligible for home-based remote working. Flexi-time will apply to your working week, which means that you can build up extra hours to make use of the opportunity to take up to 2 flexi days per month in addition to your annual leave of 25 days, meaning that, inclusive of bank holidays, a total leave of 57 days per annum can be taken. Together with the best-in-class company pension scheme, the employee benefits package on offer is truly unrivalled.

To be considered for an MS Teams video interview for this role, please reply with a WORD DOC in plain text only format version of your very latest CV, which clearly details ALL of the above requirements within your relevant experience.

Please note that if you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy you might need a work permit. Check our Blog for more information.
